I’m reading in the news that with Greece and Italy about to sink the euro boat, the buoyant Chinese economy is apparently rushing to the aid of the ailing European economy (or not).
As above, so below.
Last week I was negotiating with an Italian researcher over the 120 euros I was asking for the editing of his paper. It should have been 150 euros, but I knew money was a bit of an issue for him so I had reduced the price. In the end he decided it was too expensive. This week, I’ve been paid 220 euros, in advance, by a Chinese academic for the editing of his paper.
